The computer dept.(comminuty-CLICK) in my college was able to successfully organise an amazing intercollege technical event called ‘CHROME’…actually as it is a sequel of last years event it went by the name..’chrome reloaded 08’ (undoubtedly a matrix immitatioin-who cares..) and to add to the twist, Google comes up with its latest browser named after our very event. Never realised that our little college in the suburbs of Goa would attract giants as Google even though its just a name. but yet, must say, all thanks to the students and staff of (our dept ONLY) great rivals with the rest u see. Healthy competition though.. yeah, so Google has taken a feather from us..isnt that just the topic of our tongues. Looks like we do have some identity after all. Ok, silly jokes apart(lets move on to better jokes :P)..sorry Google, didn’t mean to degrade you though I wouldn’t mind if you guys one fine day actually do take a little from us and make ourselves known to the outside waiting world..you could put a thought into that you know. I’ll have a word with our princey(principal), who knows, we could become partners and then end up havin a Google dept. all together and then you don’t have to recruit any new students just have to stick to the already bright and highly intellectual students of our college..( you guys must have already guessed how intelligent we are-thankx!)
Hmmm, so actually, Google, this goes to you(do guarantee placements if your reading it) :-
Our Chrome event went really well…with over 300+200-300+4-200(just do the math) colleges taking part. Things went as planned..people poured in from every corner of many colleges in the state and did their part as honourable participants. We had events called Orion(treasure hunt which involved debugging codes to crack the clue-a live ‘Da Vinci’ kinda thing-imitation), Sagatious (general quiz), sketching, DJ mixing(one of the guys totally looked like Farhan Akhtar!...thats strike 3 for an imitation!- and he won too..probably coz the judges just watched ‘Rock On!’)..
That’s just a sum-up of the entire two-day event which im proud to say was awesome and well planned and …and…imitation-filled(in a brilliantly good way)..again all thanks to our students and staff, etc…
So now im signing off..catcha later when something interesting turns up..
PS:Google, don’t forget to hire us…or at least pluck another feather(name) from us.. I promise to donate half my first earnings to advertising for the company. Thank You.
